Exhibition branding and promotional signage created by langdonlorraine for the Bendigo Art Gallery exclusive exhibition: Frida Kahlo: In Her Own Image. The brand mark is inspired by the iconic structured mosaic entry typography to the Museo Frida Kahlo and the geometric patterning of Frida’s clothing (which feature in the exhibition). The colour palette, developed to compliment her work and the feature image of the exhibition – Frida Kahlo in blue satin blouse, 1939, photograph by Nickolas Muray.
This exclusive exhibition features Kahlo’s personal belongings, clothing, make-up, accessories, and medical items, on loan from the Museo Frida Kahlo in Mexico for the first time in Australia.
The exhibition runs from 15 Mar 25 until July 13th 2025.
